Undoubtedly, the Apple iPad Pro (2021) sports many upgrades and it’s worth switching to. However, the biggest upgrade of the phone is probably an Apple MI chip that was debuted on Apple MacBook laptops. The Apple iPad Pro has dual display size options of 11-inch and a larger 12.9-inch. However, previous model’s tablets have similar specs, but that’s not the case with the iPad Pro (2021) as the 12.9-inch version offers better screen technology.

On the 12.9-inch model, you’re getting Apple’s best-ever display. This is known as Mini LED technology, and it’s being marketed as Liquid Retina XDR. This means that the display has 1600 nits of brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a one million contrast ratio. Also, its resolution is 2048 x 2732 pixels and that adds to the beauty of the OLED display.

However, the 11-inch model has lower display specs compared to the bigger version. It’s equipped with the normal LED display but offers 600 nits of brightness at a resolution of 2388 × 1668 pixels. Meanwhile, the two sizes feature a similar pixel density of 264 pixels per inch.

When it comes to design, there aren’t many design changes from the iPad Pro (2020) here, so don’t be surprised to see the same design aesthetics on the iPad Pro (2021). This is because Apple is mainly focused on improving the internals of iPad Pro.

However, the bigger iPad Pro (2021) is slightly thicker at 6.4mm – other than that, the dimensions of both tablets are similar to last year’s model. Also, the weight is similar too, with the iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch being 682g and 685g respectively. They’re also available in either Space Gray or Silver color options.

Undoubtedly, this is the fastest Apple tablet, thanks to the Apple MI chip that’s on MacBook laptops. This has the potential of becoming one of the fastest tablets in the market.

During the launch event, Apple revealed the 8-core CPU will offer up to a 50% jump in performance compared to its processor. Also, the Apple iPad Pro (2021) will have a significant 40% boost over the 2020 iPad Pro.

As for RAM and storage, the 8GB of RAM variant will be paired with either 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage, while models with 1TB and 2TB have 16GB RAM. Fortunately, this is the highest storage option we’ve seen on iPad and it gives you enough space for your numerous files and apps.

Amazingly, there’s a thunderbolt port on the Apple iPad Pro (2021) too. This allows you to connect your iPad to multiple external devices with support for up to 10Gbps Ethernet. This allows you to easily transfer huge files between devices faster.

Fortunately, there’s a 5G connectivity that gives you access to next-gen internet if you have a compatible service. US residents will be able to enjoy mmWave connectivity on the iPad Pro (2021). However, you should note that you’ll have to opt for the cellular version of the iPad if you want to enjoy the 5G connectivity.

As for the camera, there’s an upgraded 12-MP selfie camera with a 122-degree field of view. Also, there’s a 12-MP primary shooter and 10-MP ultra-wide sensor on the back, similar to the 2020 model.
