The iPhone 14 rumors have already begun, and Apple’s next flagship phone definitely coming with bigger changes. While the new iPhone 13 models offer mostly iterative upgrades, the iPhone 14 could bring some of the biggest upgrades in years.
So far, the rumors are directed towards the end of the notch, possible under-display Touch ID, a powerful new 4nm processor and a possible port-less design for one of the models. The biggest rumor so far is that the iPhone mini could go away in favor of a new size. This means we could see a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max along with a 6.1-inch iPhone 14.

Camera
The camera on the iPhone 14 will also likely get a few tweaks. There has not been much rumour on the camera specifications of iPhone 14, but there are a few considerable leaks, such as the fact that the iPhone 14 Pro models may have a 48 MP main sensor.

Storage
On the storage side, Apple is expected to continue with the options it has for the iPhone 13 range, which start at 128GB and go up to 1TB for the Pro models. However, a recent rumor claims that the iPhone 14 may possibly get a huge 2TB of onboard storage. Given no Samsung phone offers this, and they have previously been generous with storage, the probability of an iPhone having the most storage on a smartphone to date is still quite unlikely.

Design
The iPhone 14 is going to come with another redesign, compared to the iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 series already has a slightly smaller notch. However, it is possible that the 2022 iPhone will get an even smaller one, or no notch at all. It is rumoured that at least one iPhone 14 model will get a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera, in place of the notch. The Pro models will also have Face ID tech under the display.
The Pro models will also probably get a flush camera array, doing away with the large camera bump that has been seen on recent iPhone models. Around the edges, the phone may end up getting iPhone 4-style round volume buttons. Additionally, there will likely still be a Lightning port on the bottom of the device. Apple may also change the lineup of the iPhone.

Apple may also do away with the “Mini” model, and only offer two sizes (6.1 inches, and 6.7 inches). That may still allow the company to offer four iPhones. So, for example, there could be an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Display
For the display, there is probably going to be few changes in the iPhone 14 range, as we will reportedly see a standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro come with a 6.1-inch display, and a possible iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max to sport a 6.7-inch display. This means there will be no more 5.4-inch mini.
The biggest change to the iPhone’s display in years has shown up in the iPhone 13, with the addition of ProMotion, or a 120Hz refresh rate, to the iPhone 13 Pro models. The iPhone 14 may change that. Apple could also start improving on the iPhone’s display resolution. Most phone manufacturers include at least 1,440p displays in their high-end phones, but the iPhone 12 still has a 1,170p display
Processor Specification
The iPhone 14 is tipped to feature a 4nm chip from TSMC, which would be even smaller and more efficient than the 5nm A15 Bionic slated for the iPhone 13. However, a recent report claims that TSMC is having a problem producing the smaller chips, which means the iPhone 14 could stick with a 5nm chipset. If this is so, it will be the first time an IPhone’s gone three years with the same-size system-on-chip.
It’s also possible that the iPhone 14 will feature an Apple-made 5G modem, following Apple’s acquisition of Intel’s modem business. This would probably give Apple more control over both the 5G performance and battery life impact.

Connectivity
iPhone 14 will feature 5G like its predecessors and could debut support for more countries as the iPhone 13 did. Reports of satellite-enabled communication for emergencies haven’t materialized with iPhone 13, so that could also be another feature to look out for.
Battery Life
There is not much info on the battery specifications of the iPhone 14. According to DSCC’s Ross Young, the iPhone 14 will have larger batteries across the board, boosting capacity and powering more features.

Price and Availability
With a rumor of 2TB storage and the possibility of a larger base storage model, it is possible next year’s iPhone may be more expensive than the current version. However, Apple surprised us by keeping the price the same this year, even lowering it in some places compared to iPhone 12.
