When it comes to looks, the Google Pixel 6 Pro definitely steals the show. With a new camera bar that stretches across the top of the display, it brings a new, unique design. The Galaxy S21 Ultra gains an advantage with its matte back, which does a much better job of resisting fingerprint smudges than the glossy Pixel 6 Pro. The Pixel 6 Pro comes in three colors: Stormy Black, Cloudy White and Sorta Sunny, and There are also two colour blocks on the back separated by the camera bar.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro camera comes with a primary 50MP sensor, most likely a custom Sony IMX700-series one like on the P50 Pro, as well as a 12MP ultra-wide-angle unit, and a 48MP sensor with 4x periscope zoom lens on top, or, should we say, sideways. The Galaxy S21 Ultra starts with a 108MP camera that’s complemented by a 12MP ultra-wide lens and dual telephoto lenses of 3x and 10x. And with Samsung’s 120x Space Zoom you can get really close to subjects from far away.

Overall, the cameras in both smartphones are versatile and the Google Pixel 6 Pro brings an improved ISP that recognizes all skin type, be it white, colored or even black skin. There is also a feature called “magic eraser” that you can use to remove unwanted background objects from your photos anytime. The Pixel 6 Pro appears to be the best camera phone for photography, but it is best to go with the Galaxy S21 Ultra when it comes to video making.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro packs Google’s own Tensor chip along with 12GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra features the Snapdragon 888 processor and 12GB of RAM. The 512GB version of the S21 Ultra ups that to 16GB of RAM. These two smartphones are 5G enabled.

However, the Google Pixel 6 Pro is powered by an in-house Tensor chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and 128/256 GB storage. In terms of performance, the Google Pixel 6 Pro is good but the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is better. This is especially evident when gaming with both devices, because after some time the Pixel 6 Pro starts dropping in performance whereas the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra would still remain strong.

Another thing the Galaxy S21 Ultra definitely has more of is storage options. Sadly, the Pixel 6 Pro only gives you 128GB and 256GB options in the UK and US. The Galaxy S21 Ultra adds a 512GB option on top of those, and not only in Australia. The Galaxy S21 Ultra also packs support for Samsung’s signature S Pen stylus. Combined with Samsung’s powerful Notes and PENUP apps, it’s a great tool for taking notes and sketching.
