Xiaomi has set out on yet another quest to bring quality smartphones to your doorstep. The new and affordable Redmi 9 Activ, released in India on the 24th of September 2021, appears as a nice offshoot or a variant to the vanilla Redmi 9. This smartphone comes packed with several features, such as 13-megapixel dual rear cameras, and is powered by an Helio G35 chipset. It will be offered in the colours Carbon Black, Coral Green and Metallic Purple.

The Redmi 9 Activ comes with epic features like proprietary fast charging, a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone measures 164.90 x 77.07 x 9.00mm (height by width by thickness) and weighs 196 grams.
The 9 Activ also comes with the connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, Infrared, Fm Radio, USB Type-C, 3G and 4G. The sensors also include fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer.
Camera
The rear camera of the Redmi 9 Activ is loaded with a 13-megapixel primary camera which holds an aperture of f/2.2, and a 2-megapixel camera which holds an f/2.4 aperture. The Redmi 9 Activ seems to feature similar designs to that of the Redmi 9. However, the colour options (Carbon Black, Coral Green and Metallic Purple) are different. The device has a square camera module on the rear which also has an LED flash. On the front, it has a dew-drop (Hazel-less water drop) notch display.
The Redmi 9 Activ also has a 3.5mm audio jack feature, an IR blaster and a fingerprint scanner. Redmi 9 Activ weighs 194 grams and has the thickness of 9mm. It has a brightness level of 400 nits and a capacitive, multi-touch touchscreen. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz, and gives 720 x 1600 pixels resolution, providing you with a pixel density of 269 PPI.
The 20:9 aspect ratio also ensures a larger viewing area, with a screen to body ratio of 81%. The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor support for face unlock (It supports face ID). Other features of the phone include headphone jack and infrared.

The Redmi 9 Activ features a 6.53-inch (16.59cm) IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 20.9, the device being powered by an octa-core MediaTek’s Helio G35 SoC.
