NVIDIA RTX 3060 (130W) vs NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) – Which has a better frequency?

NVIDIA GPUs are highly regarded because of their numerous TGP(Total Graphics Power) versions prior to their release date. However, it’s hard to get the particular version of TGP that’s fitted in every laptop.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) is one of the best graphics cards that can compete with the likes of the flagship RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. It’s perfectly built to not consume much power. For a full-blown graphics card of this caliber, this feat is highly commendable. 2021 is turning out to be a year of graphics cards with different TGPs with the RTX 3070 coming with three versions of 85W, 95W, and 130W.

On the other hand, it’s quite obvious that the RTX 3060 (130W) will follow the quality performance steps of its sibling. Also, this video card comes in different TGP versions ranging from 60W to 110W, and now 130W. This is a welcome idea as it allows consumers to choose the version that’ll suit their budget with bigger power limits. So now, let’s level the two graphics cards to know the winner and how their TGPs differ.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) vs RTX 3060 (130W): Verdict

Undoubtedly, these two video cards are very effective in performance, but the bigger GeForce RTX 3070 is definitely faster. Just like in the table above, the performance gap between the two cards isn’t that big. On the gaming side, the RTX 3070 offers a bigger lead in Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Wildlands, especially in max settings.

However, despite the clear difference, the GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) take the lead in every comparison, the RTX 3060 (130W) offers a lot of bang for its price, especially in frequency matters.
