Latest spec leaks of the Apple iPhone 15

Apple’s iPhone 15 has been the topic of discussion for tech enthusiasts worldwide as rumors and leaks have surfaced about the upcoming smartphone. In a recent YouTube video, five new leaks have been revealed, indicating exciting changes that we can expect from the upcoming device.

Apple iPhone 15 leaks

The leaked CAD models of all four models of the iPhone 15 lineup and the new red color gave us a sneak peek into the full design. However, five new leaks have given us even more information about the upcoming iPhone. First off, the front glass panels of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro were shared on a couple of Chinese websites, which were then followed by more videos shared by Shrimp Apple Pro and Liquor Unknown Zed 21.

Given the track record of Shrimp Apple Pro, there is a high chance that these front glass panels are real. The front glass panels tell us that both devices feature the dynamic Island, something that has been reported before. The regular iPhone 15 will also feature the dynamic Island this year, a departure from its predecessors.

The bezels on the iPhone 15 are about the same size as the 14 Pros, but the bezels on the 15 Pros are about half as thin, making them possibly the thinnest bezels on any smartphone to date. While the bezels on the CAD models looked a bit too thin, it seems that they will indeed be this thin.

Interestingly, this is the first time since the iPhone 11s that the non-pro models have thicker bezels, making them visually inferior to the pro models, something that Apple has also done with its iPads. The black bezels are also slightly curved, making them better match and blend in with the more rounded frame of the iPhone 15.

The third leak provides insight into the lidar module inside the iPhone 15 Pros, which Apple will upgrade to a new module manufactured by Sony, as opposed to Momentum and Win Semi. The new Sony sensor will likely be used to make the lidar module more accurate, improving the measurements in Apple’s measurement app and Ikea place app. However, it is debatable whether removing the lidar module will make much of a difference to most users.

ESR, a protective case manufacturer, sponsored the video and presented its range of products for iPhone and Android. ESR’s cases offer military-grade protection and camera guards with a kickstand, two-piece shock armor kickstand case for 360-degree protection, and lens protectors that retain the same image quality while providing considerable scratch resistance.

Finally, the fourth leak suggests that the regular iPhone 15s will once again lack promotion and an always-on display, a departure from the pro models that feature these displays. While it would be great for Apple to introduce these features on its lower-end models, it seems that it won’t be happening anytime soon.

The iPhone 15 is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the Apple smartphone lineup. While these leaks provide some insight, it is essential to take them with a grain of salt as they are not official confirmations from Apple. However, with the expected release date in September 2023, we won’t have to wait too long to see if these leaks are true.
