The new Honor 50 series are among Honor’s first phones to launch since its split with Huawei, and they are the company’s first new phones to launch globally in months, and their first to run Google Mobile Services in years. The Honor 50 is a midrange 5G phone with a lot of features that are worth the price. The phone has a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz high refresh rate, an impressive selfie camera, an ultra-fast 66W charger and stereo speakers. However, the Honor 50 lacks an IP rating for water and dust resistance and does not have wireless charging. The proposed date for the launch of Honor 50 is November 22, 2021.

Camera
It has an unusual camera setup: one circle containing a main lens, and a second for auxiliary cameras. It has a quad rear camera setup: a 108Mp main lens joined by an 8Mp ultrawide, along with 2Mp depth and macro lenses. The front-facing camera uses a 32-megapixel lens housed in a circular notch on the top-center of the display. It also comes with a 90-degree viewing angle, allowing you to fit a bit more scenery than usual in your selfies. With the selfie camera, photos turned out considerably realistic and detailed.

Apart from the camera setup, a number of camera modes are at your disposal, such as “picture in picture,” which allows you to overlay the view of the front camera onto the bigger view of the rear camera or vice versa.

The Honor 50’s base model includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage to start. A step-up model is also available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Design and Display
The 50 also has a 6.57in curved OLED display that supports a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate, which is excellent for gaming. It can also display 1.07 billion colours, so image quality should be top-notch all round. The Honor 50 also features Full HD Plus resolution (2340×1080 pixels. With its sleek build and modern aesthetic, the Honor 50 looks like a premium phone. It is also light in weight, which might be partly due to the Honor 50’s plastic frame. This phone features a holographic-like Honor logo on the back, along with a dual-circle camera bump.
Processor Specification
Honor confirmed before launch that the Honor 50 uses a new chipset, the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. This is a mid-range successor to last year’s popular 765G, and sits slightly below the recent 780G. Better yet, it also includes 5G support.
Battery Life
The Honor 50 has a 4300mAh battery, which can be refueled with 66W fast-charging. This is capable of powering the phone up from empty to 70% in just 20 minutes, according to Honor.
