The Huawei Watch GT is a thin and light smartwatch with a full-color display which is very comfortable to wear for all kinds of workout. The Watch GT design is very similar to that of Huawei Watch 2, though it’s a bit thicker.

The Huawei Watch GT 1.39-inch AMOLED display is the best we’ve seen so far. All the stats appear clearly on the display and are bright and clear enough making it easy to interact with the touchscreen. Also, there are two buttons on the right-hand side of the watch which paves way for easy navigation in case you don’t want to use the touchscreen.

However, it’s still unclear what’s running the Watch GT through previous smartwatches from the company are being powered by Qualcomm wearable chipsets, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with recent ones. Instead, Huawei decided to opt for its own chipset which hasn’t been made clear by the company. Everything moves smoothly on the Watch GT, and we never wait for more than a second for any app to fully boot up.

The GPS in particular connects and sync pretty much instantly with a lot of speed, though the software is limited. Unfortunately, there’s no support for third-party apps, NFC, or Google Pay. When it comes to battery, the Huawei Watch GT can last up to 14 days after a full charge. That’s a lot of power for this cheap price.

Display: 1.2″ AMOLED | OS: Huawei LiteOS | Compatibility: Android and iOS | Processor: Snapdragon Wear 2100 | Onboard storage: 4GB | Battery duration: 14 days | Charging method: Magnetic charging thimble | IP Rating: 5 ATM | Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS | Price in Nigeria: ₦95,000 ($249)

The Huawei Watch GT2e doesn’t offer enough improvement that’s worth an upgrade other than a virtual redesign that’s a little more sporty. Fortunately, it runs on Huawei’s Lite OS rather than Google’s Wear OS which is one of the things that made this smartwatch unique. The Watch GT2e is a very impressive wearable with some smart fitness and wellness features that are highly recommended for Android phone users.

The Huawei Watch GT2e 1.39-inch AMOLED display is crisp and bright, and it’s equipped with a bunch of sport profiles including cycling, swimming, and an excellent running experience. Also, the GT2e is pretty good for runners, thanks to loads of metrics, a clear screen, Firstbeat’s VO2 Max, and recovery stats.

Unfortunately, the only backslide of this watch is the lack of third-party plug-ins, and the inability to boot data out to Strava. 14 days of battery life is more than enough to keep you going. This is a precise advantage over the Apple Watch and its heart rate accuracy is always great, thanks to the ability to track workouts within the app. Also, sleep tracking is very excellent, and Android users can benefit from the inbuilt storage to store and stream music.

Display: 1.39″ OLED | OS: Huawei LiteOS | Compatibility: Android and iOS | Processor: Kirin A1 | Onboard storage: 4GB | Battery duration: Up to 8 days | Charging method: Wireless| IP Rating: 50 ATM | Connectivity: GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth | Price in Nigeria: ₦140,000 ($266)

The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro brings out Huawei’s outstanding quality product into a cheap package. Undoubtedly, the Watch GT2 Pro is a gorgeous and well-made smartwatch, but not comparable to the GT2e when it comes to price.

The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro is equipped with a titanium case and either leather or silicone strap option to bring out premium aesthetics that are above its price. When it comes to features, the Watch GT2 Pro boasts of stress tracking, GPS, SpO2, heart rate monitor, and lots more. Unfortunately, it’s not as smartly implemented as the Apple Watch Series 6 or Amazfit GTS 2, meaning many of the features requires you to read them not automatic tracking during sleep or workout. Similar to the Watch GT2e, the app is a little under-baked with the absence of third-party apps.

Huawei Watch 2

Display: 1.39″ AMOLED | OS: Android Wear 2.0 | Compatibility: Android and iOS | Processor: Kirin A1 | Onboard storage: 2GB | Battery duration: Up to 18 days | Charging method: Cradle | IP Rating: 5 ATM | Connectivity: GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth | Price in Nigeria: ₦90,000 ($235)

The original Huawei Watch has a premium metal finish which is cool, but this time around, Huawei decided to opt for a more rugged, sporty finish on the Watch 2 which has a chunky plastic body with a sizeable bezel surrounding the watch face. However, this design approach its not only the most attractive, but will win an award when it comes to functionality.

There’s a Snapdragon Wear 2100 that’s paired with 768MB of RAM which is good enough for super-fast processing power. If there’s one thing that made the Watch 2 unique, it’s the Android Wear 2.0 interface. This makes the watch Android Pay compatible, meaning you can make payments right from your wrist. Unfortunately, there’s no rotating crown like in the LG Watch Sport, or rotating bezel as on the Samsung Gear S3 which makes scrolling through the menu a bit trickier, with most of your fingers covering the screen.

Fortunately, the Huawei Watch 2 functions perfectly without a SIM card, using either a local WI-FI network or your smartphone’s internet connection. Unlike other smartwatches, the Watch 2 is equipped with a nanoSIM slot that’s hidden behind one of the straps. This is quite useful especially when you’re going for a workout and wouldn’t want to take your phone with you. The SIM card allows you to make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and many more through the 4G LTE network connection.

Huawei Watch Fit

Display: 1.64″ AMOLED | OS: Huawei LiteOS | Compatibility: iOS and Android | Processor: Apple S5 | Onboard storage: 4GB | Battery duration: Up to 10 days | Charging method: Wireless | IP Rating: 5 ATM | GPS, Bluetooth, NFC | Price in Nigeria: ₦75,000 ($196)

The Huawei Watch Fit is the Chinese company’s latest fitness tracker and it’s somewhere in between budget-friendly and flagship running watch. Though the Watch Fit doesn’t improve on the software front, it still offers a different kind of value when it comes to fitness and health tracking features.

Huawei is Keen on competing against the likes of Garmin Vivosport and Fitbit Charge 4 with the Watch Fit, and they seem to have a big advantage by offering a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with up to 10 days battery life. Also, the Watch Fit features one of the most comfortable bands you’ll ever see on a smartwatch which makes it very comfortable to wear all day.

There’s an easy-to-use GPS that will give you accurate track of your workouts. The Watch Fit is specifically built for athletes who want an affordable feature-packed fitness tracker that’s quick and efficient. Overall, the Huawei Watch Fit is a very reliable fitness watch that’ll appeal to anyone who wants to maintain a healthy active lifestyle, thanks to lots of features that are offering at a very cheap price.
